I thank the Government of H.P. for reposing
faith and trust in me for leading the H.P.
Police Service. This in turn has put additional
responsibility and accountability upon me .
Crime in any society is as old as human kind.
Its form of quality and quantity changes over
times and places. Prevalence of crime is
directly co-related with the development.
Efficient, effective and responsive police
service is sin-qua-non in a vibrant and dynamic
democracy for improving the quality of life of
its citizens through equitable development.
It shall be my endeavour to provide
professionally trained, organized and managed,
citizen-friendly, efficient, effective and
honest Police Service within the State.
Accountability, instantaneous responsiveness,
truth, transparency and dedication to the
service will be the qualitative hallmarks of the
service personnel. Zero tolerance for any
deviance, any kind of indiscipline and
corruption within the police service shall be
underlining principle for systematic management
of the H.P.Police Service. Police Service shall
be kept free from extraneous influences and
totally accountable to law.
Effective, impartial and objective enforcement
of rules, regulation and laws of the State to
maintain peace & calm, sense of safety and
security amongst citizens shall be the motto of
the service. Continuous improvement in the
social health of the society within the State in
conjunction with other stake holders shall be
the constant endeavour of our team. To make and
maintain Himachal Police Service, the best
amongst other Police Services in the country
shall be the basic objective, so that the
service is respected by citizens all over the
State.
I wish all the members of the Police Service the
very best in their endeavour. I wish all
residents of H.P & visitors to H.P safe and
secure environment. I further assure that a
common man in H.P. shall not find us wanting at
any hour of need in any part of the State.
